Itinerary

Your journey begins in Delhi, where upon arrival at the airport you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is free to relax after your flight. In the evening, you’ll take a short orientation drive through Connaught Place and past India Gate, which comes alive with lights after sunset. Dinner is served at your hotel restaurant, giving you your first taste of Indian cuisine. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, depart for Nawalgarh in the Shekhawati region, known as the “open-air art gallery of Rajasthan” (6 hrs drive). Upon arrival, check into a heritage haveli. In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a walk through Shekhawati havelis, richly decorated with frescoes depicting mythological stories, royal hunting scenes, and social life from centuries ago. Evening leisure at your haveli where local musicians often perform folk songs in the courtyard. Overnight stay in Nawalgarh.

The morning is dedicated to exploring rural villages around Nawalgarh. Walk through dusty lanes lined with mud houses, observe farmers tending to their fields with traditional tools, and meet artisans who specialize in pottery and tie-dye fabrics. After breakfast, drive to Khimsar (2 hrs). The fort here is surrounded by the Thar Desert. Afternoon take a jeep safari into nearby desert hamlets, where villagers live in round mud huts and still cook food over firewood stoves. Today’s drive takes you to Kumbalgarh (approx. 6 hrs), nestled in the Aravalli Hills. On arrival, check into your hotel.
